As a soloist we welcomed Anneleen Lenaerts (harpist of the Vienna Philharmonic).<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"especialO1\">Wouter Lenaerts<\/span>\u00a0&#8211; Quinta Essentia (2011)<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"especialO1\">Reinhold Gli\u00e8re<\/span>\u00a0&#8211; Concerto for Harp and Orchestra (1938)<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"especialO1\">Dmitri Shostakovich<\/span>\u00a0&#8211; Symphony V (1937)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On the grounds of the old mining industry in Genk, several buildings were restored and converted into a large complex with cinema, cultural center and two concert halls. The new C-MINE building served to symphoniaASSAI as an ideal stage to perform a program referring to the concept of old and new energy.<\/p>\n<p>The opening work of this concert was commissioned by city of Genk and the energy company Nuhma, and it is based on this energy subject through music and film, in a collaboration between Wouter Lenaerts (composer) and production company hetbeweegt (directors Joris Mathe\u00ef and Niels Kelchtermans).
