On Saturday evening November 10th symphoniaASSAI was on stage at the Casino Beringen as part of the Cultural Festival RE:converse, presenting a beautiful program of music for strings conducted by Wouter Lenaerts:
Edward ELGAR – Sospiri (for harp and strings)
Antonin DVORAK – Serenade
The program is built around the connection London-Prague, two of the most important centres from the European music culture of the 19th century, in which E. Elgar and A. Dvorak meet again. Despite their different origin the music of both composers shows many similarities that suggest a stylistic nexus between their compositions.
